If you are a member of another non-collegiate sorority your membership
with Alpha Eta Phi Multiple Sclerosis Sorority Inc.
will be considered on a case by case basis.

If you have recently resigned from another non-collegiate sorority there is a waiting period of 90 days
before you can apply for membership with Alpha Eta Phi Multiple Sclerosis Sorority Inc.

Why was Alpha Eta Phi Multiple Sclerosis Sorority Inc. started?Alpha Eta Phi is an organization, which was started to support and aid women with Multiple Sclerosis in all areas and aspects of need. We want to foster sisterhood and true friendship. Also, cultivate leaders in the MS community and actively join the fight to end MS.

What does Alpha Eta Phi Multiple Sclerosis Sorority Inc. look for in a potential member?"Alpha Eta Phi is looking for women of high ethical and moral standards. We know and understand that each sister is not the same and we are not expecting you to change who you are to fit in. We do expect each sister to carry herself with class, respect, and always represent herself in a way that is conducive to the sorority. We also are looking for women who understand we are an organization that is about community service and bringing awareness about MS to our communities.

Can women of any race join?Yes! The sorority is for ALL women diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.

If I am a member of another Greek Letter Organization (GLO), can I join?"If you are a part of a collegiate greek organization, YES! However if you are a part of another non-collegiate Greek organization, that decision will be at the discretion of the founding members.

Can I apply for membership, if there is no chapter in my area?"Yes, we welcome members all across the country. If there is not a chapter in your area, you will be affiliated with the nearest chapter until enough members are recruited to start a chapter in your area.

Can I still join if I am unable to travel?Yes. We understand that with MS, we will have members who are unable to travel and some with limited mobility.

Can I interact with the members of Alpha Eta Phi Multiple Sclerosis Sorority Inc. before deciding to apply for membership?Yes. When you join the interest group not only will you be able to interact with other interested candidates, you will also get the opportunity to interact with the founders.

What are the requirements to join?You would need to: Be at least 18 years of age Must have MS Cannot actively be a part of another Chronic Illness Sorority Can join 90 days after leaving other Chronic Illness Sorority Must be apart of the AEP (Alpha Eta Phi) Interest Group on Facebook.

How do I become a member?Anyone who is interested in joining the sorority must join the Alpha Eta Phi Interest Group on Facebook and submit an application, along with the $40 non-refundable application fee.

Will there be any hazing involved?Absolutely not. We are a non-hazing organization.

How much does it cost to join Alpha Eta Phi Multiple Sclerosis Sorority Inc?There is a $40 non-refundable application fee. Once inducted as a member of Alpha Eta Phi, there will also be $100 annual membership dues to be paid every January.

How long is the intake process?The intake process takes be between 12-14 weeks. Sessions are held, 2 times per week.

How will we meet for the intake process?Meetings are conducted through our Virtual Study Sessions using Zoom and GroupMe, along with our MS group on Facebook.
